Ware t-ntertained at a lovely two I o'clock turkey dinner at their home, having as their -juests: the tatter's son, Donald Hall, student nt Oregon State college; her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Kimball and small son, Gerald Wayne, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Olson and son, Frank. Superintendent and Mrs. W. M. Campbell entertained at a very charming one o'clock turkey din ner at their lovely home on South Main street Thanksgiving day. The Thanksgiving motif was beautifully carried out on the table and about the rooms, while a large bowl of colorful fall fruits and tall lighted tapers added to the table's attractive ness. Covers were placed for Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Brand and daugh ter, Barbara, and son, Donald, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Grow, Miss . Elizabeth Campbell of Independ ' ence, Ore., McAfee Campbell and the host and hostess, Superin tendent and Mrs. W. M. Camp bell. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Nelson find sons, Marshall and Gordon, entertained at a lovely two-thirty o'clock turkey dinner at their home on South Stephens street Thanksgiving day, having as their guests: Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Hampton and daughter, Avis, and son, Merle. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Thompson and daughter, Judy and Janney, entertained at a charming two o'clock turkey dinner at their home on East Oak street Thanks giving day. Chrysanthemums and colorful Thanksgiving favors decorated the two serving tables. I Covers were placed for Mr. and Mrs. U. D. Powell and sons, Dick and David, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Helweg and daughters, Shirley and Paula, and the host and hos tess, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson and Judy and Janney. Visiting was enjoyed during the pleasant aft ernoon hours. Miss Nettie Moore entertained as her guests for Thanksgiving dinner her parents, Mr. and Mrs. K. A. Moore and sons, Jlmmie and Leon, of Days Creek, and Mrs. Susie Alvord, of Ashland. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kelly and small daughter, Myra, entertain ed as guests for Thanksgiving dinner and the week end: Mr. Kelley's mother, sister and uncle, Mrs. E. Kelly, Miss Marjorie Kelly and Fred Kelly, all of Med ford. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Judd had as Thanksgiving dinner guests: their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Judd. and their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Chap man, Jr., and children, Judd and Evangeline. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cloake entertained at a delightful one thirtv o'clock turkey dinner at their home on South Stephens having as their guests: Mr. and Mrs. Harry Taylor, of Cottage Grove, and Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Gawler. Mrs. I. M. Robinson entertain ed at a very delightful two o'clock trtikey dinner at her home at 114 West Lane street for the members of her family. A horn of nlentv. chrysanthemums and autumn leaves graced the beautifully appointed table. Cov ers were placed for Mrs. Robin son, hostess, her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Robinson and children, Dorothy and John: her son-in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bannister, of Waldport, their two sons. Keith and Robert, students at University of Oregon, Mrs. Keith Bannister, of Eugene, and Miss Emma Jane Smith, of Eu gene. Lovely Thanksgiving gifts were presented to Mrs. Robinson, who has been ill for the last sev eral months. Her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Earl Robinson, is here assisting in her care. A lovely Thanksgiving dinner was enjoved Thursdav at the home of Mrs. S. J. Black, who had the following members of her family present for the occa sion; her son-in-law and daugh ter, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Stephen son and their son, Woodley; her daughter, Mrs. W. D. Harris and the lattor's daughter, Mrs. Allen Moore and small daughter, Judith. her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Duncan, at a very delightful turkey dinner at six o'clock at her home on Hamilton street Thanksgiving day. Mr. and. Mrs. Scott Williams and daughter, Julianne, and son, Peter, entertained as their Thanksgiving dinner guests and for the week-end, Mr. Williams' parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Wil liams, of Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kronke and daughter, Karen, entertained at a very lovely one o'clock tur key dinner at their home on Winchester street. Chrysanthe mums formed a pretty motif for the occasion. Those enjoying the occasion with Mr. and Mrs. Kronke and Karen included: Mrs. Adrian Bloom and daugh ter, Norma Jean, of Albany, Calif.; Mrs. Maurice Conley and son, Gordon, Homer Pike and daughter, all of Eugene; Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Kronke, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Kronke and daughter, Betty, and George Weber. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Weber and son, Maurice, Jr., entertain ed at a delightful two o'clock tur key dinner at their home. Yellow and white chrysanthemums form ed an attractive motif for the table. Covers were placed for G. A. Knight entertained their family at a very enjoyable one o'clock turkey din ner Thanksgiving day at their home on West First street. HAS INTERESTING MEETING CAMAS VALLEY, Nov. 21 The Women's Society of Christian Service met Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Ethel Brown. The afternoon was spent working on rug. A payment on the church was voted irom tne tunas on hand and some which had been donated. This brings the church Indebtedness down to $45. Mrs. Brown served dainty re freshments at the close of the meeting. The Society will meet next at the home of Mrs. F. R. Brown Wednesday, Nov. 26. BIRTHDAY PARTY IS ENJOYED ON SATURDAY GLENDALE, Nov. 21. Mrs. E. W. West entertained Saturday afternoon in honor of her son, John Archie's, sixth birthday. The afternoon was spent in play ing games and later refresh ments were served. COMMUNITY CLUB HAS NTERESTING MEETING TENMILE, Nov. 21. The Ten- mile Community club held Its first meeting of the fall at the home of Mrs. Grace Barnes, on Thursday afternoon. After a short business meeting called to order by the vice-president, Mrs. Grace Barnes, due to the absence of the president, Mrs. Rllla Hahn. Training Course Set For Scout and Cub Leaders An introductory training course for Boy Scout and Cub leaders will be held at the Roseburg chamber of commerce office Wed nesday evening, November 26. Rev. M. IT. Roach, training chairman for the Douglas district, Wallamet area council, Boy Scouts of America, is making ar rangements for this training course. He will he assisted by Robert L. Dill, field scout execu tive. All scooters and rubbers nre en couraged to attend this opening session of fundamentals of scout ing. Den mothers and other per sons interested in the cubbing as Well as the scouting program ore encouraged to allend. The meeting will open at 7:30 p. m.
