This annual benefit play and tea is open to anyone desiring to attend. PAST GUARDIANS NIGHT IS OBSERVED Lilac Circle No. 49, Neighbors of Woodcraft, held a very enjoy able Past Guardians night Mon day evening at the I. O. O. F. hall. Guardian Neighbor Ethel Beaver presented a corsage to the following past guardian neigh bors: Winnie Hawn, Prudie Hi dinger, Bertha Taylor, Hattie Neal, Lora Darby, Mildred Kro gel, Tillie I. Johnson, Iva Taylor, Lydia Hooper, Cynthia Germond and Paul Beaver. Slips of paper deciding the of ficers of the evening were pass ed and the past guardians then took charge with Cynthia Ger I mond, as G. N.; Tillie I. Johnson, as clerk: Iva Taylor, advisor; Bertha Taylor, magician; Hattie Neal, P. G. N.; Mildred Krogel, captain of guards; Lydia Hoop er, flag bearer; Lora Darby, banker; Winnie Hawn, corres pondent; Prudie Hidinger, man ager, and Paul Beaver, atten dant. An Interesting program was presented and included two songs, "Please Come Back to Me," and "All Out for Defense," and two readings by Barbara Orr, follow ed by a clown dance by the Per kins twins, accompanied by Ruth Snoddy. Hallowe'en refreshments were served at the close of the pro gram by Martha Erskine, chair man, assisted by Lillie Lohr and Augusta Moran. "" 1 GRANGE HAS FINE MEETING f South Deer. Creek grange held an interesting meeting at the hall Saturday night. A short re port was given by C. L. Branton, chairman of the agriculture com mittee and by Mrs. W. A. Kar cher, chairman of the H. ' ' SECOND SHOWING OF CATHOLIC ENTERTAINMENT TO BE HELD THIS EVENING The second showing of the Catholic benefit . entertainment will be held at 8 o'clock tonight at St. Joseph's parish hall on North Kane street. The entertainment was pre sented for the first time last evening and was enjoyed by as many people as could be crowd ed into the hall. Every number on the program was enthusiasti cally received by the audience. YONCALLA WOMEN ATTEND CONVENTION YONCALLA, Oct. 29. The Yoncalla Women's club was well represented at the 12th annual convention of the Coos County Federation of Women's clubs, district No. 2, held at North Bend, October 21.
