Steph ens, or Douglas county, died Septemher 20 at the home of her jdauKhlcr, 'Eliza Malone, in E jeiett. Wah. She was 92 years iof age. She was born in Visco:i sin, iuaicli l.j, atlu move I with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. jinsley, in 1852 to the lower Cala pooia district. She married Wil liam J. Stephens, son of Ejenewr and Ilchecca .Stephens, also plo ner settlers of 1852 In Douglas county. She Is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Millie Douglas, Mrs. Kiln Shrum and Mrs. Eliza Malone; two sons. E. Milton Ste phens and Lewis L. Sleohens; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Catherine Clarke, of Millwood, and Mrs Ida Stephens, of Oakland, besides numerous other relatives in tills counlv.
