The bride wore a white chiffon gown, with a lace bodice, in which she had attended the "wedding reception" given for lier by Mrs. William Sehoenfeld in Corvallls In June. Lieutenant and Mrs. Vernon Warren were the attendants. The young couple will make their home in Anchorage, as Lieu tenant Sehoenfeld is with the army at Elmerndorf field. Mrs. Sehoenfeld Is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. G. I. Ward rip and was a former resident here. She attended the schools here for some time, and later at tended the Oregon State college at Corvallis. Lieutenant Sehoen feld is the son of Dr. and Mrs. William A. Sehoenfeld of Cor vajlis, and he also attended the Oregon State college at Corvallls. REREKAH LODGE HOLDS REGULAR MEETING AT GLEN DALE THURSDAY GLENDALE, Aug. 29. The Re bekah lodge held Its regular meet ing in the hall Thursday night. It was the social meeting of the month. Mrs. Frank Tompson acted as the noble grand and presided over the meeting. Plans for the convention were discuss- eu ana later a social nour was enioved and refreshments were served. The committee in charge of the social hour was, Mrs, Wayne Lewallen, Mrs. Jack Lewis and Mrs. Bert Gillons. Others present were Mrs. M. A. WOOL BOSTON, Aug. 29 (API The Commercial Bulletin will say to morrow: "The wool market has been de cidedly lacking In animation this week. Sales have been few and far between, although prices have been well maintained and on medium bright fleeces are a bit firmer. Fine domestic wools have been rather neglected. Reports from the piecegoods market indicate continuing good demand for civilian fabrics in both men's and women's wear. Bradford reports American mills may furnish military fabrics for Russia. "Western operations this week have been very limited. A little wool has been sold in New Mexi co and Texas at a strong dollar, clean basis, Boston. "Orders are being placed In Australia for average to good top-making fibre wools at 93 to 95 cents clean basis duty paid, Boston. "Mohair is still quiet and hard ly changed in price." In Hospital Mrs. Baxter Da vis, Sutherlin school teacher, was stricken with appendicitis while on her way home from Portland and was rushed to Sac red Heart hospital in Eugene, where she underwent an opera tion. She is reported to be doing nicely. Arrive From San Carlos Mrs. Glen Havens of San Carlos, Calif., and Miss Patricia Crouch, daugh ter of Mrs. Carl Black of this city, who has been visiting In San Carlos, have arrived here. Welfare Shop Open Saturday The American Legion welfare shop, in the former Maddox gro eery location will be open again tills Saturday. It was previously announced that it would be clos ed, hut due to the large number of contributions it has been de cided to open the shop at least this Saturday.
