Miss Dorothy Crocker, and her maids as guests of honor at a delightful nine-thirty o'clock breakfast at her home Saturday I morning. The guests of honor included: Mrs. C, H. Baard Presents Pupils In Charming Recital on Saturday A charming piano recital was enjoyed Saturday evening by a large group of friends and rela tives of the pupils, when Mrs. C. H. Beard presented her piano pu pils at the lovely home of Dr. and Mrs. G. C. Finiay. on South Main street. Th nu.,ils showed credible poise and played with commend able tone and interpretation. Their playing showed their sin cere effort and careful training. Marked advancement in playing facility and beauty of expression w as noted in the playing of those who had been presented in for mer annual recitals. The numbers were played by pupils having studied but a few months to those having been in piano training for several years. Dorothy Busch was especially commended for her faithful work and number and va ! riety of pieces memorized, j A very pleasing variety was , added to Hie evening of music by I the talent of Mrs. Floyd Lewis, so i prano, and Miss Betty Jean Byrd, reader. Mrs. Lewis, always a fa- vorite with Rosehurg for her sincere personality and charming voice, sang two lovely numbers. Miss Byrd, high school graduate of last year, gave two well-received musical readings. Accompaniments for Mrs. Lewis and Miss Byrd were played by .Mrs. Beard. Mrs. Beard is a former teach er of piano at I. infield college conservatory of music, of which school of music she is a grad uate.
