' 1 egg, 2 cups finely rolled Honey - Maid Graham Cracker crumbs. 2 tsps. baking powder, 1 cup fine- ' ly chopped walnut meats, 1 cup milk. Cream butter: Add sugar grad ually; cream until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Combine cracker crumbs, baking powder, and nut meats. Add milk and cracker mixture alternately, to creamed mixture, beating after each addition. Pour in 3 well; greased 8-inch layer pans. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees F.) 15-20 minutes, or until done. AK low cake to cool before removing irom pan. This makes three thin layers. Put the following orange filling between the layers. Cut in pie-shaped wedges and serve with sweetened whipped cream that has two tablespoons of grated orange rind added. Serves 8. Orange filling: Blend 1 cup su gar with 6 tablespoons flour and . 2 tablespoons salt. Add 2-3 cat water and 2 well beaten eggs. Cook over low heat or in double boiler until thick and smooth, stir ring occasionally. Blend In 4 tea spoons grated orange rind and Juice and spread between layers. , Makes enough to spread between two 9-inch layers.
