Mrs. Charlie Young gave the
lesson, ana cnose as her subject,
an article from the Country
Gentleman, by Ben Hibbs, en
titled, "Footloose Armv." It had
to do with the refugees from the
dust howl, who went to Califor
nia, and the difficulties that
state had in earing for them.
Mrs. Kimmel gave the Timely
Talk, in place of Mrs. Margaret
McGee, who was unable to attend.
Seven members were present.
The next meetin? will be at the
Canyonville Bible academy, with
Mrs. Edith Ackert as hostess,
and Miss Lydia Reichen having
the lesson.
EASTER EGG HUNT

Mrs. O. I. Lewis, of the Shell
Service station, staged an Easter
egg hunt for the children of the
community Sunday. About 50
children turned out for the af
fair. Gene Neiswanger took the
prize for finding the most eggs,
and Dexter Garey got the con
solation prize.
