In the field of medicine doctors have discovered that It Is far better to prevent a disease than to cure it after one has contract ed it. Consequently, we have, made much progress In curb ing diseases. However preven tative religion has lagged far behind, and today we are In need of a religion that will pre vent people from falling as well as one which helps people after they are In trouble. The report of a recent committee on the study of crime is appall ing when we leurn that crime costs us thirteen billion dollars in America during a single year. Father Flanagan of Boys Town in Omaha says that the reason for the Increase in crime among the youth is be cause they are not being taught religious principles. In other words, we do not need more reformatory schools and prisons, but we need a deeper religion to prevent the boys from falling in the first place. Today let us put God in the center of our lives. God is the only one who can keep us from falling. "Unto Him who Is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless be fore the presence of Glory. This God Is able to keep that which we have committed to His care."
