Eipht toams. represent ing Douglas, Coos, Curry and Do- sonnies counties will meet in the championship play off, which will cany the right of playing for state championship. Coos and Curry counties each will be represented by their two leading II leugue teams. Only one team Is entered from Deschutes county, while Douglas county will he represented by the throe teams that won the top three spots in the county tournament held here last week. Schedule Listed. The tournament will start at 4 p. m. Friday with Drain and Pow ers paired for the first flush. Port Orford and Yoncatki will meet at 5:30 p. m. Friday. Friday night games will be held at 7:30 and 8:15 o'clock with Coos River and La Pine mooting- In the first clash and Keedsport and Gold Beach In I the second. Survivors of Friday's games will moot Saturday morning, with the first game scheduled for 9 a. m. and the second for 10:15 a. m. The finals will be played at 8:15 p, in. Saturday and will be preceded by a preliminary game between the Rnsoburg high school Dees and the Douglas County All Stars. T. H. Music lovers and friends ot the University of Oregon In Rose burg and vicinity have been Invit ed to attend the performance of Handel's oratorio, "The Messiah," which will be given in McArthur court on the campus next Sunday night, March 2, according to word received here today. Several students whose home towns are in Douglas county are appearing in the production, which will feature the 500-voice University Choral union, the University Symphony orchestra of 70 members, and four soloists well known In northwest musical circles. The concert, which is considered to be the major camp us musical event of 1940-41, will be under the direction of Dean Theodore Kratt of the music school, who also conducted last season's production of Mendels sohn's "Elijah" with the choral union and the orchestra. Missionary From Japan To Speak in Roseburg ' M. B. Madden, a missionary from the Osaka mission in Japan returns after 40 years of service to speak to the churches on the mission work and its progress. He will be the guest speaker at the First Christian church in Rose burg this Sunday evening. He will speak at the young people's service at 6:30 p. m. and sneak land show moving pictures of the I work on the field at the Osaka j mission. I 'E. A.
