Oliver Cook, well known resi dent of the Drew neighborhood, has recently obtained employ ment at the Bremerton ship yards as carpenter. The logging operations mentioned In the Camas Valley news of a few days ago are being carried on across the Coqullle river from Mystic creek instead of Myrtle creek as printed. Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Reetz have purchased a five-acre tract of land from William Norton on the west side of his place and joining the east line of Nathan Kirken dall's place. The Reetz's expect to build on their property before Very long. Miss Cora Ellen Markham re turned Monday from a month's visit in Los Angeles. She will be employed alternately with Eliza beth Church doing office work at the school house. Mrs. Watzlg of Roseburg blood tested a flock of White Leghorn hens for Mrs. Clarence Mayer Thursday. The Camas Valley basketball team carried off the honors in two more games during the week, the first one Tuesday night with Myrtle Creek and on Friday night with the Wilbur team. The girls' volleyball team won the Mvrlle Creek-Camas Vallev same I but lost the one played with the Wilbur volleyball team. Frank Fish, Coos county logger, Is opdratng a logging camp south of Bradford station. Work men are cutting timber on both Sides of the CCC road taking put all fir and incense cedar.
