Coach Jim Watts, well pleased with the second-half rally by the Indians In their game against Ashland Saturday night, let his boys off with a light workout Wednesday. The Indians are anticipating a tough battle at Ashland where the Grizzlies will have the advan tage of their own floor plus a de termination to avenge the defeat here. The Grants Pass team now !c in bottom Dlace in the rilstrirf having suffered a defeat at the hands of Medford, following the trouncing by Roseburg Saturday. B Schedule Drawn. -Coach Jim Davlp reports that the Roseburg B squad, which has played to preliminaries to local games, has completed a schedule with county teams as follows: Saturday, Jan. 28, Sutherlin (preliminary). Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Yon- calla. Tuesday, Feb. 4,. at Sutherlin. Saturday, Feb. 8, Yoncalla (pre liminary). Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Oakland. Saturday, Feb. 15, Drain (pre liminary). Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Myrtle Creek. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Looking glass. Coach Davis reports that the schedule may be extended as the B team has a few open dates. The activities of the B team, far more extencive than ever be fore, is expected to be of great benefit next season, when the high school will be faced with the task of building a com pletely new team. First Squad to Lose Four. Finlay, Wlard, Denton and Goodlow, the stalwarts of the In dian first squad this year, will be lost by graduation. Ed Hughes, junior, will be the only member of the Indian starting squad left for next season. Prospects, how ever, for a strong nucleus is seep In the rapid development of Neil Sehrimpf, sophomore, who has performed sensationally as a re serve and starter, and who, with this season's experience tucked away will doubtless be a number 1 man for next year. Coupled with Hughes and Sehrimpf for next season doubt less will be Wimberly, Ness, Cacy, Denny, Baker and others, who are gaining a great deal of ex perience on the B squad and are showing rapid development.
