The newly completed bridge
across Days creek has been re
cently opened to traffic, It Is a
very great Improvement over the
former bridge which had been in
use for a number of years as it
eliminates two right angle turns
in the highway.
Complaint Against Rates
On Prunes, Plums Loses

An Interstate commission examiner
recommended today dismissal of a
complaint against railroad freight
rates on fresh prunes and plums,
in carloads, from Idaho and tho
Milton-Freewater-Walla Walla dis
trict of Oregon and Washington to
destinations throughout the coun
try. Complaints In the case included
ihose by the utility-regulating
agencies of Idaho and Oregon and
various associations of growers
and shippers in lduho, Oregon and
Washington.
