Grillers Defeat Sutherlin, 10 to7 Ily EVEItETT CROUCIi The big bats ol Betli's drillers banned out a 20-hit barrace Thurs day as the Koseburg baseball team downed the Sutherlin Townies 10 to 7 in an exciting 11-inniug game played Thursday as n part of the Fourth of July celebration at Suth erlin. Wilcher led the barrage with five hits out of six trips to the plate, closely followed by Mills, Morgan and Ilaker each with three for six. Ha it was the only member of the team who failed to register in the hit column. Owens with three for five, and Avery with two for lour led the Sutherlin hitters. Owens' triple was the longest hit if the game, and. Incidentally, was the only Sutherlin hit that went for oxtrn bases. The Grillers had six doubles to their credit, two of them off the bat of Hill Schemer. Sporer allowed Sutherlin 13 hits and struck nut six.
