(AP) Ttussnl Pierce. 21. was quoted by I'ndersherilf Knowles last night as having admitted participa tion In the attempted holdup of the Ortfng State bank Thursday. Knowles made the announce ment, declaring that Pierce had admitted being with Kenneth K. Ambler, confessed principal in the attempt, but had d"nlod knowing that Ambler planned to rob the hank. Ambler, arretted in the bank Thursday when a woman employee sounded an alarm and covered him with a pistol, was charged with at tempted robbery. Knowles quoted Pierce as say hit:: "When he (Ambler) got out of the car In front of the hank, he told me to wait and to 'start driv ing when he returned."
