' Holy Week Rites Begun in Roseburg Sptcial Religious Services In Churches Mark Observance In Advance of Easter. Special religious services, lead ing up to Fuller .observance, nre being held this week in all of the city's principal churches. Today, Maundy Thursday, the day celebrating the institution of Holy Communion, is being given special observance, while Good Friday will bo celebrated by union services together with special pro grams in some of the Individual churches. Prc-Kaster revival cam paigns are being conducted in sev- ii I of the evangelical churclhM anil all are looking forward to particularly impressive services on Kaster Sunday. Muly Thursday services nre be ing' held today at St, Joseph's Catholic church and at the Hose- hurg Methodist church. At the Catholic church an all-day vigil before the, Illessed Sacra ment followed 7:30 a. m. Mass. A special service, commemorative of the day, will be held at 7::t0 o'clock tonight. At the Methodist church, Pastor Louis Mugtu will speak at 7:30 p. in. on the "Lnst Supper." Holy Communion will be administered at the loot of the illuminated cross.) Good Friday Services - I Churches affiliated with the! Jloscburg Ministerial association will sponsor a union Good Friday service, starting at 12 noon Friday in St. George's Kplscopal church.
