Plans were completed for their pie social, held Saturday evening, with Roland Parker of Roseburg giving a very interesting talk on "Rural Electricity and RICA." A very pleasant afternoon was spent by the ladies of the West Melrose club Thursday at the home of Mr. ami Mrs. (!. W. Cooper. It was de cided to make a donation to the county infantile paralysis fund, ami to start quilting at Mrs. Seeley's, at a special meeting Thursday aft ernoon, February 1st. Numerous other matters were discussed and piecing on the quilt progressed. A lovely lunch was served by the hostess, Mrs. Cooper, to Mrs. C. I. Crileser, Mrs. John Richards. Mrs. W. Ci. Cooper and smnll son, Dean, Mrs. Henry Cox, Mrs. E. M. Seeley, Mr. and Mrs. Emil fialla and daughter, Gerahline. Mr. and Mrs. Ray S. Petrequin. G. W. Coop er. Miss Dorothy liacklund and Mrs. II. G. Thompson. The next regular meeting will be held Thursday afternoon, February Kih, at Mrs. Criteser's. Work on the quilt will be continued and the monthly contest will be held. EASTERN STAR POSTPONES POTLUCK SUPPER UNTIL FEBRUARY 15 Roseburg chapter of Eastern Star will hold a regular business meeting at 8 o'clock Thursday night of this week at the Masonic temple, instead of the potluck supper as previously announced. The 6:30 o'clock potluck supper meeting has been changed to Feb ruary lfi to be hetfl at the temple, at which, time Mtb. D. JJ. Unbar and Mrs. J Roy Catching will act as joint general 'chairmen.' : Mrs. A. H. Taylor, worthy ma tron, will preside- over the chap ter meeting at eight o'clock Thurs day night of this-week. LADIES AID HAS MEETING WEDNESDAY CAMAS VALLEY, Jan. 30. The last meeting of the ladies aid so ciety was held at the church Wed nesday, Jan. 21, with a potluck lunch at noon.
