Issued The three-day prog.atn of tbo soils short course at Oregon State college IVhruar. The first day is to be devoted to soil surveys, soil building practices, erosion control and drainage. The second day Is devoted almost en tirely to soil fertility and related matters. Tho program in cludes: 1. The agricultural committee should participate in the lecturer's program at least four times a year. 'i. Agricultural committees should arrange for quarterly ac tivities: winter county-wide pro gram planning meeting; spring cooperate with grange wholesale for a county-wide farm machinery demonstration: summer umutge field demonstration or tour in county; fall marketing meeting. 3. Support existing cooperatives and invite representatives of exist ing cooperatives to attend sub ordinate granges, to tell about their organizations and their ob jectives. f Kncourage weed control work. This organization embraces over 2.000 young people, members of the grange in Oregon, ranging from U to 35 years of age. And among the group of officers hi Miss May Taylor of Melrose, the social direc tor. Her unit of the youth movement includes about 40 young people liv ing in the Melrose section and members of that grange.
