NOVEL YOKE ON GAY
, HOUSEFROCK
PATTERN 4324
There's a light-hearted peasant
girl look about this little house
frock, Pattern 4324. It's designed
by Anne Adams for easy wearing
nnd making. Don't you love the
charming shape of the neck, that's
ncored in the yoke? A delightful
effect that you may play up either
by using ric-rac at the yoke, point
ed Bleeve bands and high, double
peaked waistline, or by making the
yoke anil sleeve bands in vti'fd. con
trast. The slim waist and hips are
emphasized by unusual softness
through the bodice and full skirt
lines. Make comfortably flared
sleeves if you prefer, and choose a
gnlly flowered print fabrle for this
young charmer.
Pattern 4324 is available In

POET'S CORNER
IN SELF DEFENSE
By Orpha Collins. 1
I thought 1 had a plenty bought i
For all my friends and kin;
I'd planned a quiet Christmas time,
I'd have no noise or din. i
But now I have to build defense
Against tho neighbors' packet
For I've found out that they will get
All tuings that make a racket'.
So out I rushed nt half past pight
And bought a horn for Jimmy
A fire-siren for little Jack
And a drum for little Tim my.
So, now we're set for Christmas
day
We'll toot and 'bio a1 and boat
We'll entertain (?) each other and
