The affnlr was given in the social rooms of the Methodist church with Mrs. Claude Ooff, Mrs. Dick Valentine, Mrs. Clarenco Frnser and Mrs. Jake Francis acting as joint hostesses. A reading entitled "The Husking Ilee" was given by . Mrs. Stella French. The many, gifts were ar ranged on a lnrge table having a bride and groom as centerpiece and decorated with streamers of rose and yellow at which were seated the bride elect. Miss Manning, her mother. Mrs. Alva Manning, Mrs. Ida Weber. Mrs. Morrell Weber and Miss Catherine Manning, who assisted in unwrapping and dis tributing of the presents among the guests for Inspection. Miss Venet Fraser. Miss Phyllis Manning, Miss Virginia Smith assisted in hand ling the gifts. Tea was served at n long candle lit table with Mrs. Ida Weber. Mrs. Alva Manning. Mrj. In order to avoid further criticism it was voted to change the nnmo of the drive from the Community Chest to the Community Charity Fund. It wns explained that the nroceeds will bo used for direct emergency relief wherever needed regardless of whether recipients are in any wny connected with the lodge.
