July 1 The Ice cream social given by the Parent Teacher club Friday evening on (he lawn at the schoolhouse was a decided success and hope that other such functions would be had was expressed by many. The lawn was festooned with colored lights and three refreshment booths at tractlvely decorated. The Presby terian orchestra gave Beveral mini bers i before the main program, which was announced by Frank Young. Others appearing on the program were: Patsy Wahl, song and tap dance; Gene and Jackie Culver, vocal duet; Joyce Holgate, recitation; June Young and Don' aid Robertson, piano duet; Tommy Chenoweth. recitation; Patricia Jordan and Edna Ruth Real, vocal duet; Rosemary Wahl and Betty l,ou VoKelpohl, piano uuet; i-ain clu Jordan and Edna Ruth Real, tap dance; Mrs. E. Arcnamneau niano selection: Helen Allen, solo; Venetta Frnser, cornet solo: Mrs. Vera Holgate, solo; Herman HUgn, solo with guitnr accompaniment by himself: Frank Young, solo. Many small tables were placed nhnut the lawn which were used In serving. Seven girls wearing gay colored aprons and caps as sisted In the serving, mrs. vern Holgate and Mrs. C. K.
