D1LLARD TOWNSEND CLUB HAS MEETING THURSDAY EVENING Thursday evening the Dlllard Townsend club held Its regular meeting at the i)illard school house. A very Interesting open forum was enjoyed, and plans were made to btimulate attendance, one of which was that each member pledged himself to bring someone to the next meeting. This meeting was scheduled for Thursday, Feb- Iruary 17. At this future meeting plans for raising funds, and for fti Iture entertainment and social ac tivities will be presented. MRS. HELENE H. ANDERSON ENTERTAINS GRAY LADIES AT CHARMING TEA THIS WEEK The hospital and recitation corps of the American Red Cross, familiarly known as the Gray La dies, were Invited to bo the guoStft of Mrs. Helens H. Anderson, rec reational aide at the Veterans Ad ministration Facility, Wednesday afternoon at the nurses' home at the iost. The pleasant social hour was a preface to the hospital work to be carried out by the Gray Ladies during the ensuing months. Besides the Gray Ladies, who were guests of honor, residents of the nurses' home, who were off duty, called at the tea hour. Members of the Roeburp Gray Ladies Include Mrs. K. F. Tandy. Mrs. K. C. KEYSTONE CLUB HAS ENJOYABLE AFTERNOON MEETING ON FRIDAY The Methodist Episcopal Key stone club met yesterduy afternoon at the home of the president. Mrs. Dnrothv Hunt, on Moore street with Mrs. Hunt and Mrs. F. G. Burr as joint hostesses. Games were enjoyed and prizes were awarded to Mrs. II. R. Slater and Mrs. Roscoe Mnrsters. A COLONIAL TEA TO BE CHARMING AFFAIR OF TUESDAY, FEB. 22nd One of the most Interesting af fairs of the month has been an nounced by St. George's Episcopal Guild, which will sponsor a Colon ial tea and antique show from three to five-thirty o'clock Tues day nfternoon, February 22, at the parish hail. M.S. Ralph B. Sipprell Is acting as general chairman of the affair and is being assisted by Mrs. Perry Smith. Mrs. F. L. Crittenden and Mrs. E. T. Nelson, with Mrs. Smith in charge of the antiques. Anyone interested in loaning their antiques to the guild for this afternoon show, have been asked to phone .Mrs. Smith. The affair will be one of the ma jor projects of the guild for the year and a most cordial invitation has been extended to the general public to enjoy the occasion. JUNIOR WOMAN'S CLUB TO HOLD INTERESTING MEETING NEXT MONDAY One of the most interesting club meetings of the year for Junior Wo man's club members will ho held at 8 o'clock next Monday night at the club house with F. L. Critten den as guest speaker on the sub ject, "Americanism." Following the taik, a short busi ness meeting will be held with Mrs. Leon Yearwood. president, In charge. Delegates to the district convention to be held February l.1, at Coquille. will be appointed and the celebration of the club's fifth anniversary will be enjoyed.
