MU CHAPTER ENJOYS WEDNESDAY EVENING AT YOUNG RESIDENCE Mrs. Rernard Young, assisted by Miss Kate Huclmnan, very gra ciously entertained members of Mu chapter of Ileta Sigma 1'ht at her charming homo og Wednesday evening with a delightful seven o'clock dessert supper. Later in the evening the regular business meeting was held dur ing which extensive plans were made for the forthcoming birthday ball of the sorority to be given "Vt.uary 18 at the Klks temple. Carrying out the lesson of the evening, "Organization of Ideas," nll members gave five-minute talks on diversified topics which were verv interesting. Mrs. II. ('. Church extended mi invitation to the chapter to hold the next meeting at her home in Laurelwood on February 9. Those enjoying the evening were Mrs. II. (. Church. Miss Janet Fickenseher, Miss C'armel New land, Miss Helen Shreeve, Miss Dorothy Dale Jackson. Miss Hetty ,eedy. Miss Dora Kraughlon, Miss Jane Clilbreath, Miss Heryl Ilrun ner and Miss Kate Buchanan. Today's Pattern : O -r. V VI etc? 4604 JLaJ EVERGREEN GRANGE HA8 MEETING MONDAY Monday night the Evergreen grange met in regular session. All officers were present except the lady ussistant, Klsie Spackman, who was not able to be in attend ance on the account of injuries she received iu an automobile w reck. The grange voted to have a program for the benefit of the 4-11 scholarship fund in the near fu ture. The program to be furnish ed by outside talent with the grange holding food Bale in con nection with it. All funds raised are to be given to Mr. Hrltton who selects the student to receive the scholarship. They also made plans for the entertaining of the Pomona grange Saturday, Jan. 29. The relief commit ten reported the death of Helen Boon's mother und the illness of Mr. and Mrs. N en lie McCulloueh and Mrs. Bruch er. At the lecture hour Vera Rite gave a short talk on "Farm. Chemurgic." At the cloBe of the grange Olivia Lauder and her staff served pie and coffee. WEST MELROSE CLUB HAS ENJOYABLE MEETING MKLllOSK, Jan. 29 The West Melrose club had a delightful meet ing at the home of Mrs. G. W, Cooper, Thursday afternoon. O. Criteser, Mrs. Andrew Imrie, Mrs. V. V. Monger, Mrs. K. M. Seeley, Mrs. Jay McGregor, Mrs. Kay Petre quin, Mrs. V. G. Cooper and Mrs. H. G. Thompson. K AND R CLUB IS ENTERTAINED-AT HEALY HOME ON WEDNESDAY The K and R club was gracious entertained Wednesday after noon by Mrs. Charles Healy at her home on South Jackson street. A pleusant social afternoon was fol lowed by Mrs. Healy serving re freshments to Mrs. O. L. Johnson, Mrs. Mabel Wilson, Mrs. F. C. Frear, Mrs. V. T. Jackson, Mrs. P.. W. Taylor and Mrs. H. A. Taylor.
