garding the large birthday dinner

LADIES AID MEETS
AT COOK HOME FRIDAY
GLENDALE, Oct. 12. There
was a large attendance at the
meeting of the Ladles Aid at the
home ol .Mrs. Harry Cook Friday
afternoon. Mrs. Ella Leach led
the devotional part of the meeting
and Mrs. Culbertson prepared the
missionary study.
President Mrs. Hessie Seimers
presided over the business meet
ing when a letter from Mrs. E. F.
McFarluitd wind Mis. Rates was
read. The secretary was instruct
ed to answer same, Inviting them
to meet with the Aid at their No
vember meeting.

bazaar will be held November IX

this city, after attending the na
tional convention of Building and
loau associations at Los Angeles.
They stopped lu San Francisco to
visit the former's nt'phew and
niece, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Par
geter. Mr. Pargeter and Mr.
Shoemaker 'returned north as far
as Med ford by plane, where they
were met by automobile by Mrs.
Shoemaker and Mrs. Pargeter,
who accompanied them back to
Roseburg.
