Itailey on grange ideals conclud ed the program, which was followed by Minnie, games and an informal dunce. GRANGE BOOSTER NIGHT MEETING HELD MKI.UOSK, Oct. 4. A group of Melrose grange members and in vited guests enjoyed a "Booster meeting" at the grange ball Thurs day evening. The meeting open ed by presenting the officers seat ing drill, followed by Booster songs led by J. F. Jlonebreak. A short program of readings and poems and an interesting talk by Ileverend Smith of Itoseburg was very much enjoyed. At the close of the meeting guessing games, led by Mrs. Crystal Conn and Mis. ROBERTSON IS HONORED ON BIRTHDAY MKLROtfK. Oct. 4 Mr. and Mrs. H. I. Conn entertained with a lovely seven o'clock dinner at their home Monday evening in honor of the birthday anniversary nl their daughter, Mrs. J. Rob ertson of Itoseburg. The beautifully appointed table v as centered with a lovely bou quet of dahlias, at which covers were placed for Mrs. J. W, Robert son, guest of honor, Mr. ami Mrs. Carl biudsay Sr. of Los Angeles, who are visiting relatives and friends, and for J. W. Robertson and son, John Marvin, and the host nnd hostess, Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Conn. The evening hours were pleasantly spent in visiting. LADIES AID TO MEET THURSDAY CAN YON VILLI-:, Oct. 4. The M. K. Ladies Aid of Cnnyonville will meet at the Canyon Auto camp next Thursday arternoon, October 7, if the weather is pleas ant. If it is stormy the meeting will be held at the church or par soiianf. A pot luck lunch will he served. This will be an experience meeting, as the ladies who huve been earning the 5u cents each for the new porch on the church will bring the money at this time and tell their experiences in earning It.
