EAGLES HOLD LARGE PICNIC SUNDAY Approximately five hundred were present at the annual Eagles picnic held Sunday at Idleyld park, many of those attending spending the week-end there. A basket dinner was served at noon and dancing and competitive drills and games were enjoyed by those in attendance. MIXED HANDICAP TOURNAMENT HELD SUNDAY The Rosehurg Country club members teed off at three-thirty Sunday afternoon for the mixed handicap tournament. Mrs. H. C. Stearns and Mrs. j. F. Dillard were in charge of the day's play, which was followed hy a potluck supper at seven o'clock at which time the prizes for the day's game were awarded. Mrs. Hans Hansen and B. J. Coram received first prize for the day; Mrs. John Marks ami Marshall Pengra, received second place; Mrs. H. C. Kloarns and Ivan Pickens, third place, and Mrs. E S. Carpenter, of the Lions club, mude a perfect score of 55 points, allowing his opponents only 30 points, which made a lead for the Lions of 25 points. This lead wus practically maintained in the but uuce of the contest.
