FRANKIE HOLGATE ENTERTAINS FRIENDS SUTHERLIN, Juno 1 FranKle IIolKate, son of Mi, and Mrs. Frank Holgnte, entertained a group of friends Thursday afternoon to celebrate his fifth birthday. The guests, all hoys, were , dressed in cowboy" costumes and played games during the afternoon, and were then served cake, ice cream and punch from a table prettily decorated with pink and white. June 1 Mrs. John Galla Jr. entertained the West Melrose Embroidery club Thursday afternoon. The meeting was held at-a lovely wooded spot beside n waterfall near her home A dainty lunch was served by tire hostess. after which came the business ses sion. Guests present were Airs. The occa sion was in honor of her birthday anniversary and to honor the clos ing of her second year of faithful work in the school. The group pre sented her with a small square white ivory clock. Drain all liquor from beans, mash them and add chopped onion, grated cheese, but ter, flour and sunsoniugs to taste. Heat in a Bkillet ofor a low flame, stirring constantly. Add bacon, egg yolks and cook slowly for five, min. When cool, form Into patties and dip them Into the slightly henton egg whites. Roll In cracker crumbs and fry on both Bides until brown. Add to mushroom mixture and cook slowly until eggs are set, but not too firm.
