The Roseburg Klwanls will pre sent "School Days"1 at the local school auditorium, Monday even ing, March 15. There will be no attendance charge and every one (is assured of a very entertaining 'evening. Refreshments will be sold following the performance, the proceeds to be used for a 4-H club scholarship fund. Members of the South tlmnqna Rod and Gun club and South Ump iuu grange pest hunts will be in terested to note that the "points" for various' pestB will be as fol lows: Coyote, 1,000; rat, 100; dig ger, 100; gopher, 150; mole, 100; owl, 250; hawk, 250; crow, 100; blue jay, 100; rattlesnake, 100; weasel, 100; rabbit, 100; mice, 25. Other pests may be added to the rod and gun list later. Alva Matthews, who is employed at Detroit, speut the week-end here with his 'family. The drumatic club held their first meeting Wednesday evening in the school auditorium and elect ed Charles Uoice president, aud Billle Uunch, secretary-treasurer. Mies Faye Tnoinuson is their ad visor.. A constitution was drawn up and a committee named to take charge ot the initiation of now members. The club will meet every two weeks for the study ot dramatics aud expects later to ap pear bofore the public. The ciuu boasts twentv-three members. FIRE DAMAGES HOME AT DREW DREW, March 13 The Wayne Dean home Was slightly damaged by fire Weduesduy evening. A can of cleaulng fluid was mistaken tor kerosene and a quuutliy pour ed on a smouldering fire. The ex plosion ignited the cau ot fluid, throwing the burning llauid over Walter Glerup whose hands wero slightly bul-ned In his efforts to extinguish the flames.
