The umiuul reunion of llie pioneer Pet era family was held July 16, ut the WoolriilKe dairy farm, near Alpine, Ore. For several years this event has been observed by all the mem berg of the family, but thla year Rome were ill and unable to make the Journey and in March, one sis ter, Mrs. t'hestina Bull, of Port land, was called awuy by denth. After the reading of the minutes of Ihe lust year's meeting, devo lional services were held, and a picnic dinner enjoyed. The follow ing names were placed on the roster for this year: Airs. Belle Woolridge, Alpine; Mr. and -Mrs. V. Hounds and Miss Orillu Peters, fmM of Myrtle Creek; Mr. and Mrs. (iuy Kuchus and daughter, Kuih leen, Mr. and Mra. George L'r bach, Mr. Whitiz and son, Alpine; George Peters, Msea; Mr. and ,Mrs. Ben Wren and son, Billy Steele, Eugene. f SPANISH WAR VETS PICNIC TO BE HELD AT FACILITY PARK Those desiring transportation to the lulled Spanish War Veterans und auxiliary picnic Sunday, Au gust 2, have been asked to meet at two o'clock sharp at the Grand hotel. Anyone having cars to furnish the transportation have been asked to have them at the hotel by two o'clock. The picnic will be held In the Veterans' Facility park and a six o'clock basket supper will be en joyed. The committee In charge of the affuir will furnish coffee, cream, ice cream and lemonade. Those attending have been asked to bring their picnic suppers, dishes and silverware. COUNTRY CLUB TaDIES WILL MEET THURSDAY All ladles of the Roseburg Coun try club have been invited to meet at the club Thursday morning for golfing and swimming. The Glen- dale Masons and Eastern Stars held their annual picnic Sunday at Tanner's grove. A family re union and picnic was held at Cold Springs in honor of Mrs. Laura Coons Sunday. The following rela tives were present: u brother, W. E. Rodger s and wife of Junction City, four of Mrs. Coons' sons were W. E. Coons and wire or Drain, George Coons and family of Yon calla, Vern Coons, wife and daugh ter, Betty, of Monroe, Glenn CoonB and wife of Anluuf; grandsons, Lloyd Coons, wife and son, Iarry, and Elmer Coons and wife of Drain. Others present were John Safley and wife and daughter, Edith, and Melvin Kibblebeck. A bountiful dinner was served at noon. MRS. HENNINGER IS HONORED ON BIRTHDAY GLENDALE. July 29. A family reunion and picnic was held near Grants Pass Sunday, compliment ing Mrs. A. G. Hennfl'ger's birth day. Those enjoying the day were Mrs. Hennlnger and son, Larry, Mr. and Mrs. Ta E. Hennlnger of Canyonvllle; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hunsaker of Eugene, and Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Williams of Medford.
