HIGH COURT TO GET TTCH' CASE SALEM, June U.-(AP) No tice of appeal of the noted "Itch" case to the supreme court of the Cnlted States was given here to day by the Hammond Lumber company, which stated if the Ore gon court were upheld It would he necessary to subject all of Us em ployes to physical examinations. The original suit was brought by Ralph Conipton against the lumber company to recover dam ages for the "Itch" which he alleg ed he contracted while working on one of the lumber company's boats. The lower court awarded a judg ment of SI,2'M) to the plaintiff, hi the second appeal the state court affirmed the Judgment to the ex tent of $1,000. The assembly of 175, Including 45 ministers, declared itself the general assembly of the new church. At the morning session dele gales to the Presbyterian constitu tional covenant union approved the executive committee report re commending the abolition of the union and the formation of a new church organization, which its leaders said, will continue the "true spiritual succession of the Presbyterian church in the U. The salutatory and valedictory were Riven by Marcell McCurdy and Gerald Young and the main address by Dr. Daniel T.
