Park er, assistant Douglas county agri cultural agent leader, has returned here, after spending the past two days in Medford attending a county agents conference. Stop Here Enroute ..Home Mr. and MrB. U. S. Morgan, of Esta cada, Oregon, stopped in Roseburg yesterday to viBit Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Olllvant, before continuing home. They have been spending the past five weeks on a pleasure trip lb California. Leaves Hospital Mrs. A. C. Strong of Myrtle Creek was dis charged from Roseburg General hospital a few days ago, instead of Mrs. E. Strong, of Myrtle Creek. Mr. and MrB. E. Strong spent yes terday In Roseburg Visiting with friends and shopping. G. Debernardl In City G. Deber nardi, who resides on the North Umpqua above Glide, was a busi ness visitor in Roseburg today. Mr. Debernardl reports that all ap pearances point to excellent fish ing tills year, as there seems to be an abundance of trout in evidence already. He anticipates early fly fishing. . Moves to Douglas County C. B. Davis and family, of Aberdeen, Washington, have moved to Doug las county and are making their home near the Elgarose church. They purchased an orcharu tract and are making extensive improve ments on the property. They are much pleased with this vicinity. Spends Day. In Azalea William Moar, local oil man,' spent Thurs day in the Azalea vlcinitl attend ing to business affairs. . Maklna Fine Bock Garden Mr. and Mrs. Jack Boyer, of Eden bower, are Improving their prop erty this month by terracing their lawn down to the highway and putting Ifl a rock gardon. The road to the garage is also llned wlth a rockery on each side and a winding rock path leads to the house. The Boyers are planting fine shrubs and flowers, which will add to the attractiveness of their North Pacific highway home. Will Attend O. S. C. Exposition Miss Alma Stephens, Miss Merle Branch, Miss Helen Norton, MIbs Dorothy Dale Jackson, Douglas Fredrlckson, representing Rose burg senior high school, and ac companied by Homer Grow, agri cultural instructor, left yesterday afternoon for Corvallls, where they will remain until Sunday attending the college annual exposition. Discharged From Hospital Mrs Frank Havlin, of Sutherlin, has been discharged from Roseburg General hospital after receiving medical treatment for the past week. Returns From Eugene Lloyd Kenny has returned to his home in this city after spending the past several days in Eugene visit ing his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Kenny. Drain Folks Visiting Mrs. Ora Wallace, Mrs. Evan Rand and A. S. Wallace, of Wallace's gravel camp at Drain, arrived here yes terday to spend two days visiting relatives and friends. Returns to Portland D. T. Lorang has returned to his Port land office after spending two days in Roseburg visiting G. E. Gross, local morchant. Mr. Lorang audited the store and checked the mark-downs taken. Purchases Truck From Local Dealer James Lawrence, of Riv ersdale, spent Thursday in Rose burg attending to business affairs. Miss Bessie. Redbarn and Miss Jennie Dirks, of this city, spent Thursday in the Glide vicin ity riding horseback. Mrs. Dirks and small son, of Oakland, Cali fornia, are spending three weeks at the P. B. Dirks home on Wash ington street. Blackberries on Display F. W. Dillard. of Douglas street, has giv en a small box of ripe Himalaya blackberries for display purposes Ihlhe local chamber of Commerce window this week. The berries are usually ripe during the summer montlis and it is unusual for them to ripen during the month of February. Salem was visited last week, and Mr. Vauco reports many favorable comments th broadcast. A 100 foot hedge of choice rose bushes has been set out during the past week.
