W. H. Perkins Visits W. H.
(Bill) Perkins, secretary of the Pan
American reciprocal trade confer
ence, Sacramento, California, visit
ed with relatives and friends who
met him in Roseburg over the
week-end. Mr. Perkins is an old
time newspaper man well known
in Oregon. He accompanied the
recent Pacific coast 'crusarV. and
handled publicity stories for it.

working out of Portland on the
road between that city and Bend,
snent the past week-end at his
home here, returning to his work
this morning. He was accompanied
to Portland by his son, Jimmy
Darby, who will spend some time

The first reunion of the A nee
clan was held at Sheridan yester
day and was attended by County
Clerk Roy Auee, Mrs. S. W. Leake,
Kathryn Apee, of this city, chil-1
dren of John and Mary Apee, pio
neer Douglas county residents, and
by Walter Leake, son of Mrs. S. W.
Leake. The reunion was attended
by more than 150 persons repre
senting the descendants and their
families of Isaac and Cordilia
Agee, who came from Missouri to
Oregon in 1S52, settling in Gopher
vallev. 8 miles north of Sheridan,
Yamhill county. They were the par
ents of It children, three of whom
are still living. Jasper Agee of
Sheridan. Charles Agee of Sheri
dan and Tom Agee, formerly of
Douglas countv. now located at
Mapleton. John Agee. father of
Roy and Kathryn Agee and Mrs.
Walter Leake, of this city, and
Zonher Agee of Eugene, was a son
of this pioneer couple. Many of the
relatives live at a great distnnco
and were unable to attend, due to
the fact that the reunion was ar
ranged wllhin a very shot time. Tt
is planned, however, io make the
meeting an annual event, and it is
expected that there will he a much
larger attendance next year.

delayed on their return by an auto
mobile accident two miles north of
Juuctlon City Thursday. The car,
driven by Mr. Davis, skidded in
loose travel and struck a guard
fence, causing numerous minor in
juries to the members of the party.

Mrs. Shulti suffered injuries to her
side, In addition to head and face
cuts, and was confined to bed, until
yesterday. Mr. I)avis was cut. and
bruised on the head and arms, and
the other members of the party
were bruised.
