the old fihed which has been used
for four years.
ICvery effort is b.dng made to
put -on the, best camp ever held
here. Lots of training and instruc
tion put over by the "fun" way,
will keep the boys busy every min
ute. They will be on the move,
from the rising lime to nine-thirty!

Of course the entire time is given !

ing Instruction period will cover
vo hours each morning. A hoy;
has every opportunity to advance i
in scouting while nt camp. The
camp will be "self-governed" by
the hoys this year as during thej
past. They will "have their own J
judge, sheriff and deputy, as well;
as prosecuting attorney. There will,
be "mutt" court twice each week.j

gon district, it will be remem
bered that only a couple of weeks
ago two of the Douglas county
teams played a 1-0 scven-luiilng
game. That was a very good tame
ami now with the cream of those
two teams selected, together with
two from this city, a good game is
assured.

These boys are confident of win
ning though they are buck in
against a hard team. The Coos
team haB been practicing faithfully
with the idea of winning from the
local aggregation.
If the locals win, then the Med
ford team will be brought here to
play for the district championHhip
and thus for the right to play the
championship team of some other
district.
The American Legion auxiliary
Is arranging to have a iunch served
to both teams following the game.
It will be served under the large
trees near the ball ground. Tlia
local post is sponsoring the team
and hopes to walk away with the
long end of the score. The ad
mittance fee will be nominal. It
is hoped that a good crowd will
turn out to the support of the
county team and help win through
to the championship.

prominent Myrtle Creek farmer,
wDo died In San Francisco Tues
day, arrived here yesterday and
was taken today to bis borne town
for funeral services.
The Myrtle Creek order of I. O.

vice at the grave in the cemetery
of that lodge. M. E. Ritter of the
Roseburg Undertaking company is
in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Smith died in a hospital In
the California metropolis following
a long battle with a serious illness.
