The room bad Deen made beautiful for the occa sion by the use of blue delphin ium, pink rosebuds and palms. The nuptial vows were exchang ed before a pillar of pink rosebuds built upon the fireplace mantel, with tail white candelabra hold ing white tapers on. each side ot the mantel. Miss Uii dine Frease Bang, "Oh, Promise Me," before the exchange of vowe. The bride entered the room on the arm of her father, B. H. Thomas, with her sister, - Miss Genevieve Thomas, as brides maid. Robert Thomas, brother of the bride, was the best man. . Dr. I. J. : Thompson, retired Presbyterian minister, and for years the family minister, read the ceremony. Lohengrin's wedding march was played by Mrs. Charles Heinllne as the bridal party entered the room. Soft music continued through the ceremony and at the close Mrs. Heinllne played Men delssohn's wedding march. The bride was charming In a frock, of white taffeta, cut with fitted waist and bouffant skirt. She wore a lace beret, held .In place by a wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley, Cecil Brunner roBes add white rosebuds. . The maid of honor wore a frock ot silk net over pink taffeta, niod lshly cut with an uneven hemline. Her shower bouquet was of pink rosebuds. Following the wedding ceremony a reception was held with Mrs. S. A. Sanford, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Parish of Portland, presid ing. The bride 1b a graduate of Oregon- State college, and has been leaching the past two years in the high school as Alosher, Oregon. Air. Webb Is a graduate of the University of Alichigan, at Ann Harbor, Michigan, and is traveling for the K!rsch Manufacturing company. Following a week-end spent in The Dalles, the couple left tor San Francisco, stopping overnight in Roseburg to visit relatives. From San Francisco they will go to Mi chigan to spend the summer with Mr. Webb's mother, who Is in poor health. I Loyal Temperance Legion Holds Last Meeting Before Summer Vacation The Loyal Temperance Legion of the W. C. T. U. held their last meeting until tall on Saturday aft ernoon, June 7, in the Presbyterian church. The membership of the legion, which numbered nine at the time of organisation In April, has in creased to thirty-four. An enjoy able season for the children In learning the prohibition Bongs and yells and studying books, recom mended by the W. C. T. U. is re ported. The legions are well launched in the nation-wide cam paign of "Stepping on All Cigarette StubB," and In the past four months have destroyed over 1600 stubs.
