Painting Bank Building The Douglas National Bank building is being greatly improved in appear ance by the application of a fresh coat of paint on the woodwork of the exterior. Washington, who have been guests for several days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wharton, are leaving today for a week's vacation at Newport. Enroute Home Elder and Mrs. Schireman, of Albany, who have been in attendance at the general conference of S. D. A. at San Fran ; Cisco, were in Roseburg for a short time last evening, being enroute to their home in Albany. Returns to Portland Mrs. Mabel Moore, who has been visiting friends and looking alter business1 affairs in this city for 'the paBt two weeks, is leaving today for her home in Portland. Mrs. Moore, nee Van Buren, is a former resident of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Larson Leave B. E. Spend Summer In Dixonville Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wllshlre, of Eugene, will spend the summer in Dixonville taking charge of the ranch belonging to Mrs. Wilshlre's father, J, S. lnscho. Mr. Wilshire has completed his third year of work at the university of Oregon. Expected Here Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Mathys and son, Harry, of Vancouver, Washington, are expected to stop here Sunday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Davis, while enroute to Letterman hospital, Presidio, San Francisco, where MrB. Mathys will enter the hospital for an operation. Mr. and Mrs. Mathys attended the Spanish war veterans' convention here last July.
