Poppy Poster Contsst Rules Given A poppy poster contest will be held in uie scnools ot the county tills year in connection with the annual Memorial day poppy sale, the posteis submitted by the pu pils suouid show the relationship of the poppy to the American Le gion auxiliary in any of the phases that the pupils wish. The posters will be used in advertising the au nual poppy sate. The Memorial day poppies are made by needy ex-seivicu men in the hospitals, by men receiving lit tle or no compensation and in inosth cases by men with families, in' most Instances the money earned by this work goes home to the man's family to buy bread and but ter lor his children. Aside fiom the financial return this work gives the veterans something wiih wnieh to occupy their minds and aids in their pnysical progress. Every penny of the money earned by the units in selling the poppies is used for hospital and cutui weuare work.
