discussed and work was planned

planned an afternoon of sewing.

Picture Books made for Children's
Hospital
Mrs. Roy Young, chairman of
the work for the Doernbecher
children's hospital, reported splen
did progress ".vitn her work. The
unit planned to make a number ot
picture books for the hospital and
a friend of the unit in Portland
donated a quantity of bright col
ored paper for the foundations.
Mrs. Roy Young and Mrs. George
Ware sewed and bound thirty-five
books and following Tuesday
night's meeting the members past
ed pictures In ihem. The girls plan
to make at least thirty-five more
books In the near future, ror sani
tary reasons these books cannot
be nassed from one child to all-
other, therefore a great number of
books are needed. Anyone Having
pictures that might appeal to chil
dren up to about ten years of age

Tin Foil Committee Reports Splen-

the Shriners' hospital for children

thirty pounds have been turned in.
The country districts and schools
are cooperaling wonderfully. The
school children especially are en
thusiastic about this work. Recent
ly some friends of the unit, living
in Klamath Falls, sent twelve
pounds of tinfoil to tile local unti.
