Organizes Gym Class for Business Girls of Roseburg Of considerable interest to the business and professional gills of Hoseburg is the new gym class, which is being sponsored by the II. P. W. club or this city. The first meeting of the gym class was held on Wednesday evening in the senior high school gymna sium with a fine attendance of members. Miss Ona May Aloore, senior high school instructor, has been secured to teach the class, which no doubt will be one of the largest club affairs of l ho city. A second meet ing of this club will be held next Wednesday eve ning at seveii-thlKy o'clook In the senior high school gymnasium. The classes- w ill continue d tiring the winter and spring months. AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY ACTIVITIES Unit Has Record Attendance One of the most interesting meetings of I'mpqua unit was belt: Tuesday night, Januaiy 21st, at the armory with an attendance ot over sixty members present among whom was AIis. Ii. H. Johnson of Dickinson, North Da kota, who is visiting her daughter, Mrs. James A. Soules. Reports Made and Committees Appointed The meeting opened wllh the sintug of America after which the following committee reports were made: Flower report, Mrs. Ned Dixon ; questionnaire. Mis. Ward Cumniings; fashion show, Mrs. Jay Fulcher; Ked Cross roll call, Mrs. Ted Post, anil child welfare, Airs. Phil Harth. Mrs. Grant Wil cox and Mrs. H. C. Uoyle were ap pointed as a visiting committee. The president appointed Mrs. Rodney Knott to collect and weigh all tin foil which is being saved by the unit and turn it over to the Shriuers each month. The com munity Is cooperating wonderfully in this work and recently several pounds of tin foil were received from a friend of the unit who lives at McKenzie Bridge, Oregon. Mrs. Roy Young was placed in ehanrr of the unit's work for the Doern becker children's home at Port laud. The auxiliary singed a humorous movie bunesque, "The Pet of the Plains," in which an English heiress, a handsome cow buy and three Indians took part.
