To Deer Hunters The hunting season is less than three weeks off, there Tore it is essential that plans are completed early. Several important things enter ii.'.o a successful hunt good equipment, proper food, clot.... 13 and bedding, first aid equipment and GOOD EYESIGHT. The law requires the killing of deer with horns only, fur thermore they must be forked (two points) or better, and two such deer to each hunter. Therefore, it behooves every hunter' in the woods with a gun to be doubly sure he SEES a deer with horns before he shoots. As deer are plentiful in Douglas county, it is not neces sary to shoot at every moving object or something that "looks like a deer.". As a precaution against the killing of deer without horns, the crippling of others and the tak ing of human life, you owe it to yourself and every other hunter in the woods to have your eyesight checked before you go. If you wear bifocals you can have special hunt ing glasses made without the reading portion. These will give the maximum amount of range with keen vision.
