FIRST FOREST FIRE OF SEASON IS ON UPPER COW CREEK The first forest fire In the coun ty this season occurred yesterday on the head of Cow Creek. The orlKin of the fire is unknown, but it Is believed to have been started by a careless smoker. The fire burned over about 150 acres of second growth timber. A crew of eight men was sent out by the Douglas fiie patrol and succeeded in checking the blaze within a short time. As senior member of the ninth district court of appeals, Judge .Morrow was placed on leave of ab sence in 1923 subject to call, after more thau o(i years continuous ser vice.
