and through the great salt beds to
the Utah metropolis and return

Prior arrangements had been
made with the Standard Oil com
pany to check the distances trav

with gas and oil. The route taken
by Patterson went over Echo
Summit to Glen brook on Lake 'J'a
hqe, then over the Clear Creek
road to Carson City, which was
reached at sun up. Gas was taken

the southern end of Salt Lake

Wemlover toward Salt Lake Is aa

life vocation. Scientific tests and
means of analysis have progressed
to the point where it is now en
tirely practical to advise students
as to the general fields of work in
which they will have a reasonable
chance, for success and to warn
them against attempting vocations
for which' they are not adapted.
Vocational guidance is now being
offered by many of the larger
schools of the country, but the
plans adopted by the state college
are the most extensive to be used
by any school west of the Missis
sippi. Mr. Love is a graduate of Ore
gon State with the class of 11123
and has just completed graduate
work for master's degree in educa
tion and vocational guidance.
