VACATION TIME IS HERE HP' HE in Hi i s I'mpqua valley when one thinks of going some for a vacation one is reminded of the old s'l'.r about carrying coal to Newcastle. This is vacation land i's( If. Lint, vacation time is here and thoughts turn inevit ably to the outdoor places. The t. b. m.'s (tired business man's) mind drifts from its invoice checking to wondering whether the tires on the car are good enough for a trip up to Steamboat. Where to go for a vacation outing? Why we can just start in any direction from Hoseburg and be fore we have gone a hundred miles will have passed one or several ideal spots. p;ast to Diamond lake and the many North I'mpqua resorts, west to the ocean, north and south, charming camp ing spots along beautiful rivers. Ocean resorts, mountains, hunting, boating, swimming, fishing everything any vaca tioner can enjoy any place in the world we can enjoy them all within three hours drive from our home. Keally isn't this a most wonderful part of tlie world in which to live? o The business men of IJandon are awake to the fact that Hoseburg and Douglas county folks have a wide range of choice of vacation places and they are making a strong bid for our patronage. On another page of this newspaper will be seen an advertisement, sponsored by Uandon business nil'i), covering most of a page, inviting News-Review readers to come to IJandon "I !y the sea" and enjoy the IJandon beaches. It is an invitation that is mighty appealing. S i, Vr- ' ! rl OOKiV WAKiT TO ,"-' V-V'V AUV. -THtH.
