Troop four walked away v.iih the honors in having the most scouts on hand for pro motion and awards.' From, this trop Robert Chase, David Collins and llruco Ferguson were promot ed to second class; Harold Jmwe to first class; merit badges to Tom Bayles in riremanship and plumbing; Cordon Stewart, wood woi kins; William Schmidt, per sonal health. Hryce Owen of troop three presented a leather bolt designed and looled by himself for a merit badge in Icaihercraft. Hryce and his brother, Dale, of the same troop, presented several reed and rafia baskets which they made for Inspection of the court and visitors and were awarded merit badges in basketry. These two scouts were also awarded star badges for having five merit badges to their credit. Visits by parents and other adults always serve to stimulate Uie scouts to greater efforts and are always appreciated whether at trcop meetings or courts of honors. Judge Quine presided In his usual capable manner and as he has done at each court of honor made more and better friends of the scouts. His services are a de cided boost to the scouts and the boyhood of the city. It was announced at the meeting that troop six would meet troop thirteen of .Myrtle Point Saturday evening in a preliminary basket ball game preceding the Roseburg Myrtle Point game at Myrtle Point.
