The animal on the diet with

lived on an average of 10 per cent
longer than did those with less

gevity may be accredited to the
fact that already adequate diet
was improved by additional quali
ties of a substance known as one
of the most important food sub
stances for the living animal.
It has always seemed reason
able to believe that the human
diet bore a definite relationship
to the lencth of human life. It is
well to have a scientific confirma
tion of a fact that has taken man
thousands of - years to learn
through bitter experience.
