ROSEBURG NEWS-REVIEW, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13, 1927.

It is impossible to sell local products to a few sister cities in Southern Oregon, because the citizens of those cities will not buy products shipped i
that can be made in their "home town." That increases their payroll? an d keeps their money working at home, ! ,
If EVERY loyal citizen of Douglas Cpunty would FAITHFULLY and CONTINUOUSLY DEMAND Douglas County Products, the increase in busi
ness to our farmers and manufacturers would be very large. - i n?:v) '. ii
Over 100 more people would be employed. .... About $150,000 would be added to our Annual Payrolls. .' -' H 'I
AND ALL THIS MONEY WOULD REMAIN IN THE COUNTY. ;
We, therefore, urge that you demand local products in making future purchases.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.; April
13. A monument to one of : the
bitterest civic controversies ever
waged in the northwest, a muni
cipal fight that waged for years
and finally came to an end in the
state supreme court, will soon be
a thing of the past when the half
completed Hot Springs courthouse
which has long overlooked Klam
ath Falls 'will be razed to make
room for the ?300,000 Union high
school building that will bey built
this year. '
The- Klamath court house fight
came to an end four years ago, but
on top of Hot Springs hill stood an
ever present reminder of the folly
of municipal strife.
Over ?70.0'00, was s;nt on the
building before it was abandoned
in favor of the present main street
court house. Ten years later, the
county is forced to pay S1.793.S8
the successful bid of the W. D.
Miller Construction company to
remove the old building. Mllier is
given all the material.
MURDER CHARGE
AGAINST CLARK
murder was placed yesterday
against Frank Clark on the charge
oi: slaying his former ' ."wife, ills.
Nellie Clark, April 2. ,
Clark will probably be arraigmui
this morning before Justice of the
Peace W. li. Harnes, and a hear
ing will be set for' later in thu
week. Clark has admitted firing
the fatal shot which resulted in
the death of Mrs. Clark, but holds
that he intended the bullet for
Mrs. Clark's companion, C. W.
Stephens.
