New prices on Dodge Brothers
Motor cars, the subject of wide
spread comment .ince it - was
made known Dccemlwr 15. that
a sweeping reduction would be
made, - were announced today.
The reductions cover the entire
Hat of lkidge llrothers car. and
range front $205 on the Special
Type A Sedan to 7S on the Com
mercial Cars and chassis.
It was stated In the announce
ment of December 15, that the
new price would be retroactive
and that all purchasers ot Dodge
llrothers cars between that dale
and the time the revised sche
dule, were mado known, would
bo refunded the difference be
tween I he new and old prices. In
accordance with this promise,
thousands of checks are being
mado out today by Dodne Bro.
there Dealer, to such purchaser..
The word that Dodge Brothers
wero about to make marked re
ductions in the prtcea of all their
cars was somethlnK of a bomb
shell to the automobile Industry,
coming aa It did at the lime
when eeveral manufacturers were
known to be preparing announce
founts of advanced prices all along
the line. - In fact, it la under
stood that some makers had
scheduled advertising advising
the public of the necessity tori,j'
iiianur prices, em inewe announce
ments were suddenly cancelled
upon publication of Dodge Bro
thers reductions.
The situation which many au
tomobile manufacturers have
found Insurmountable, ' except
through Increased prices, has been
brought about by the lump in
tire costs, due to tremenrtont ad
vances In rubber prices. Auto
mobile manufacturers who plan
ned making this Increased tire
ctmt the ImsIs of higher prices
found themselves tn a quandary,
however, aa a result of the Dortgo
Brothers announcement.
-This car has missed but ono day
ot operation on Its regular run to
Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert, and
special runs over the Apache Trail
aud to Tucson and Nogalcs, and
baa travelled more than 104,000
miles. Every tire on this car has
made more than 25.000 miles, and
the car Is regularly making twenty
miles to the gallon of gasoline. '
"When your salesman sold me
this Wlllys-Knlglit, he took in
t'-ade a standard make of car that
cost double the price of the Willys

that 1 have paid off my present car
by the savings over the former
car." T
Mr. Brundage does not wsnt to

those found in thl. Arizona coun
