OLYMPIA, Wash., Dec. 24 Gov ernor Hartley vetoed six bills to day, including a measure Increas ing Uie millages for the University of' Washington, Washington State College and the three state normal schools and the supplemental bill approximately 11,300,000 out of the general fund for the operation of the schools. This waa believed to be the largest number of bills ever ve toed st one time by any governor of Washington. Michael Bernita, pastor of All Saints Church, Dunmore. Pa., said today, with reference ot the letter of sixteen non-English speaking clergymen to the miners and operators, asking them to end the coal strike. I Father Bern&t, one of the six teen signatories, declared that the priests believe the miners are en titled to higher wages snd In fact, twice as much as they are getting.
