Buell, for the past thirty years a resident of Myrtle Creek, died at her borne yesterday after an Illness of more than four months. Mrs. Buell was born In Piatt county, Missouri, February 18, 1847, and crossed the plains with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. S, C. Braden, while atlll a amall child. The family settled a short dist ance north of Roseburg, where ahe was married to F. C. The arrest of Jack McDonald,' 17-year-old school boy in San Fran Cisco yesterday while masquerad ing aa a woman under the name of "Countess Zeldan Letrovlnski," waa no surprise to police here. For five weeks here while garbed in the latest feminine creations, he was registered at a local hotel un der the name of "Mrs. J. T. Mc Donald." Much of the finery had been stol en from tbe home of a relative, be revealed here when arrested on a charge of forging a check for $20. The charge waa dropped when his mother made the money good. Then the youth promised to remain at borne and continue his studies at tbe Blngbam, Utah, high school. uut ne ran away again. He waa next heard from at Wells, Nevada. Many of the Beau Brummela there paid court to the "dashing Mrs. Me- uonaio. - widow. It waa revealed. when he again returned home. Word of bia arrest last nisht was the first received of him In nearly a month, as he- again had disap peared with some 1100 which his mother had saved, and most of her nest apparel. "I have done everything I could for that boy," aald Mrs. J. T. Mc Donald, bis mother. "He baa cost me more than $2,000 and I am still paying debts he contracted In de partment stores, where he had countless articles of women's wearing apparel charged to me." Mrs. McDonald aaid ahe intend ed to urge -the authorities to com mit the youth to some correctional Institution. The management of the new Oriental Gardens.
