The maximum intensity occurred 'at 8:33, while the shocks were! still "going strong" according ot observers, at 8:10, when the re i cording photographic sheets were changed. The distance was estim ated, at 2100 mile from Chicago. CHICAGO. Dec 10. Extreme earth tremors at 8:33 this morning were discerned by the seismograph at the University of Chicago.
