burg. This match is to be fought
between Charlie Dundee, 132
pounds, of Roseburg and . Ace
Bowles, 132 pounds, of Marshfield.
Dundee and Boles fought a 8
round semi-final at the last card
offered by the boxing commission
and although a decision was given
Dundee at the conclusion of the
encounter, the crowd was far from
satisfied, a draw being the popu
lar decision. The two boys are
exceedingly fast and clever, willing
mixers and experienced in every
trick of the game. ' Over a ten
round distance a better compari
son of the two fighters will prob
ably be obtainable.
The semi final is to be fought
between Jack ltyan of Roseburg
and Tommy Williams of North
Bend. Ryan has been in Roseburg
for the past month and has been
working out regularly. He is
speedy, shifty and a hard hitter.
Williams is a North Bend high
school boy who has been making
a good showing in the Coos Bay
district The semi-final will be
S-rounds In length. There will also
be two fast preliminaries of. four
rounds each.

William Mitchell's assertion that
the dirigible Shenandoah was de
stroyed by the expansion of her
gas cells was disputed before the
Mltcbell court martial today by Col
onel C. O. Hall, army dirigible ex
pert, who was aboard the Shenau-'
doah when she was wrecked.
The destruction of the craft, said
Colonel Hall, was "due to the dyn
amic force of the storm" in which
Blie perished.
Adverting to Colonel . Mitchell's
complaint that no parachutna were
carried by the Shenandoah, the
witness said that parachutes would
have been "absolutely uselesB."
