Cosbow. associate jus tice of the Oregon Supreme Court, At noon a free "chow" will be provided at the Armory for all ei-servlce men. Thia is not for American Legion men alone hut Is for any veteran, and visiting world war vets are Invited to at tend. This la an annual feed furnished by the local pott and la an opportunity for the veterans to get together for a social time and talkfest. - In the afternoon there will be a machine gun demonstration by the local machine gun company at 2 o'clock. The guardsmen will place their weapons on Flnlny field and will fire at targets on Reservoir hill. This will be an Interesting and Instructive exhi bition. It wll be followed by a football ' game between the local American legion post team and the Eugene All-Stars, one of tho three U. of O. freshmen elevens. The local team is to be strengthened by the presence of Wally Rapp, former brilliant high Bctaool star, and there Is no question but that a fine game is assured. In order to protect itself from loss in the' event of rain, the local post has Insured the game for rain, be cause a heavy financial outlay has been assumed in bringUig the , Eugene team here. The day's celebration will close in the evening with a vaudeville and dance.
